Our core values are based on the reindeer wellbeing and way of living. It affects directly to the
family’s and community’s wellbeing. We respect the surrounded nature and look after the
biodiversity to provide good living conditions and harmony to all of us.
We are now committed to the internationally recognized sustainable tourism program and are
committed to the continuous development. Sustainability means concrete actions for us like:
- Focusing on reindeers working conditions when using them for tourism purposes. We have
clear guidelines and procedures of their working ours and providing them enough space and time
to recover.
- We communicate clearly to our visitors e.g that not to touch reindeers and understand the
nature of the wild animal.
- Focusing on customers’ and employees’ safety. All our guides have first aid training and
insurance. Risk and crisis management are considered in our operations and staff training.
Safety is particularly important to us due to the arctic nature, even though our tours are relatively
short and in well protected areas.
- We are also improving our waste management by sorting and recycling different waste items
better. We have improved the sorting practices and develop the practices further with our
employees.
